It was a love of community and craft beer that led to the creation of this brewery. Cabarrus Brewing Company brews a combination of flagship and small-batch brews like Boll Weevil Brown, Cabarrus Cotton and Mule Spinner Stout, which are served in the textile mill-turned-taphouse in Concord. In our dedication to environmental sustainability, we chose to grow two rather uncommon varieties grapes: Chambourcin and Villard blanc. These two varieties allow us to produce quality grapes under the threat of the many diseases and mildews of the Southeast. Our vineyards are located on extremely heavy clay soil that contains more rocks than Carter had pills. While this soil presented a challenge during planting, it seems to be a combination that produces some flavor-filled grapes.

The business was founded by Eric and Meg Granillo, a pair of retired Air Traffic Controllers who chose to bring aviation-level precision and hospitality to the local community.
